Data, Tech and Innovation in UK Fishing

Pioneering innovation has the potential to revolutionise UK fishing, and is already making a significant positive impact. Improvements in technology help fishing to become more efficient, catching a greater proportion of target species while reducing bycatch or damage to the marine ecosystem. Refined data collection systems can help fisheries management efforts become as precise and flexible as possible, ensuring that stocks are protected without unduly hampering the efforts of the fishing fleet.
